ANALYSIS

Working closely with our customers, Roush employs advanced analytical techniques and sophisticated modeling tools to predict noise and vibration behavior and improve product design. With seamless access to in-house testing capabilities to obtain input information and model validation, we blend testing and analysis for excellent analytical/experimental correlation.

Analysis and simulation capabilities and resources include:

Structural

. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for linear and nonlinear structural modeling
. Static and dynamic simulation to predict stress, resonance frequencies, mode shapes and forced response

Kinematic/Dynamic
. ADAMS modeling for rigid body and flexible body motion and load analyses

Acoustic
. Boundary Element Analysis (BEA)
. Rayleigh Integral Analysis to predict sound radiated by structures
. Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA)
. Empirical radiated sound models
. Biot modeling of porous and poroelastic materials

Damping
. Roush-developed analyses programs for predicting the effects of adding damping to structures and for use in the design of tuned dampers
. FEA-based modeling of isolation and damping systems, including free layer, constrained layer and damping links
