ROUSH
HISTORY
Roush celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2001.
What began in 1976 as Jack Roush Performance
Engineering is now recognized internationally
as a premier provider of automotive product
development and systems integration solutions,
with over 2,000 employees in facilities across
the globe.
Roush has grown significantly
over the years in direct response to our customers’ needs.
Recognizing that integrated services provide tremendous
efficiency and synergy, we have strategically acquired
skills and expertise in areas such as advanced
composites, body design and engineering, paint
and trim services, fabrication and instrumentation.
This focus has resulted in Roush’s unparalleled
ability to lend support across the entire product
development life cycle.
Several key acquisitions have rounded
out our product and service offerings. Our acquisition
of NVH Services, with their extensive experience
in the field of mechanical noise and vibration
analysis, has provided a critical component in
Roush’s portfolio of comprehensive engineering
services.
In 1997, Roush acquired Detroit Art Services,
which for many years supplied the leading automotive
manufacturers with advanced technical publication
services. This acquisition has enabled Roush to
provide our customers vital communication services,
ranging from print and video materials to web-based
projects, technical documentation, graphic services
and promotional materials.
In 1999 Roush entered a joint venture with Uniboring
to form Performance Assembly Solutions (PAS). Through
PAS, we have the ability to offer our customers
seamlessly integrated engine development services,
taking an engine from concept to assembly.
Our acquisition of Crucam in 1999
added significant rapid prototyping, machining
and manufacturing tools to our broad range of
service offerings. This division, now Roush Manufacturing,
offers advanced technologies and state-of-the-art
equipment in our Livonia-based Manufacturing Center.
Roush Performance, established
in 1995, has been an exciting by-product of our
focus on acquiring
the technical expertise and resources needed to
effectively serve our customers’ needs. Roush
Performance Products’ line of Roush-designed,
engineered and manufactured niche vehicles and
vehicle component packages offers consumers the
perfect blend of Roush’s 25 years of technological
expertise and our innate passion for performance.
In 2001, RPP launched the Roush Stage 3 Mustang,
recognized by critics as a finely engineered performance
vehicle that is just plain fun to drive. The Roush
Performance line of products is generating excitement
in over 225 dealerships around the country.
Through strategic planning
and acquisition, commitment and hard work, Roush
has developed an unparalleled
reputation for technical expertise, quality and
value. Our focus on providing seamlessly integrated
services and streamlining the product development
process has accelerated our customers’ critical
product-to-market timing objectives – a vital
advantage in today’s competitive market.
Our success remains deeply rooted
in the core values that are unique to Roush: reliance
upon the talent of the individual, a disciplined
work ethic, scrupulous attention to detail, and
an acutely intense desire to be the best. We continue
to seek innovative methods of providing our customers
effective services and solutions.
